FuturePrint Virtual Conference: Future of Digitalisation with BOBST

The FuturePrint Virtual Conference, taking place 25th – 26th February, will be showcasing a range of solutions, insight and education from established print giants to cutting-edge newcomers, both of which are blazing the trail for the future of the industry. We caught up with Francois Martin, Global Marketing Director, BOBST, to discover why are returning to the next FuturePrint event.

BOBST has been involved in FuturePrint events since the inaugural Virtual Summit in June 2020. Throughout last year, BOBST has focused strongly on digitalisation and its impact, and are taking that important message into 2021. Francois explains: “The digitalization of packaging production will take place. The questions are why, how and when. Not all industries are in the same situation. Labels leads the way while folding carton is not yet there.

“By looking at the fundamentals of packaging production encompassing brand owners requirements, converters capabilities and technology developments we can imagine the future. At BOBST we aim to shape the future of the packaging production and we will do it together.  Join this presentation to be one step ahead.”

Why is continued education and insight into BOBST’s solutions so crucial? Francois continues: “The digitalization of the packaging production is on every converter agenda. Some are even talking about the 4.0 factories. The challenge however is that the required industry transformation is involving many stakeholders not necessary aligned and some not necessary convinced – yet.

“BOBST is one major player in packaging production and since 1890 our innovations made an impact. We are convinced that the digitalization of packaging production will happen. This is strategic and we want to be in forefront across printing and converting.

Who are BOBST hoping to reach with their upcoming session? “I want every to understand that it will take more than a digital press or more than a laser cutter to digitalize packaging production and each industry will have its own set of challenges but all will have tremendous opportunities.”
