Tech Fest Preview: Collaboration is Key to Colordyne’s Inkjet Engine Excellence

The FuturePrint Tech Fest is a celebration of print technology taking place on the 29th-30th June 2021, where experts will provide updates on new technological developments, innovations and stories of how the print technology community is bringing to life new ideas that create new possibilities. We catch up with Colordyne ahead of their presentation looking at collaborative development and their newest inkjet engine with UV LED.

Ron Brown, Product Manager, Colordyne

In May, Colordyne celebrated one year since the launch of its Inkjet Innovation division focused on empowering the adoption of inkjet in more markets. With the accelerated change and uncertainty experienced during the pandemic, this new division proved timely. Companies, now more than ever, recognise the need for flexibility, which can be delivered through inkjet technology.

For more than a decade, Colordyne Technologies has supplied printers and retrofits to brands and print providers allowing them to run on-demand digital and hybrid label production. With Colordyne Inkjet, the company is also able to serve other OEMs, which the company calls strategic integration partners (SIPs), by giving them the ability to add modular and scalable inkjet print engines to their systems. These SIPs deliver solutions to a wide range of print markets including, labels, commercials print, flexible packaging and corrugated.

During the upcoming FuturePrint Tech Fest, Colordyne’s Product Manager, Ron Brown, will dive into the company’s newest engine technology featuring UV LED inkjet. Brown will discuss the development process, technology upgrades, and give a short demo of the print engine. His presentation will address how collaboration was a key component to the successful development of Colordyne’s second-generation UV inkjet engine. Not only did the company focus on customer feedback, but it also worked with partners who offer expertise in areas like ink manufacturing.

“We recommend that anyone interested in adding UV LED inkjet to their business join Ron’s session,” said Katelyn Bohr, Director of Marketing at Colordyne. “Whether you are looking to add digital print capabilities to an existing press or to integrate an engine into your product, Ron will provide great insights into what sets Colordyne apart. This includes the partnerships we’ve established that allow us to deliver more innovative products to the market.”
