Inkjet: A World of Creativity and Potential

Welcome to the next instalment in our People&Technology series. In this chapter, we look more closely at the innovative world of inkjet technology.

Inkjet, a term that implies an entire universe of possibilities, still remains a mystery to many organisations. Yet inkjet is more than just a word; it represents versatility, efficiency & competitive advantage, and although inkjet has expanded its reach quite significantly over the last decade, there are still many more areas to explore.

When we consider the huge potential inkjet technology has to offer, we see an area that is - relatively speaking - quite new, but that is rapidly growing. Despite its more established history in some sectors, inkjet is still at the beginning of its technological journey, making Research and Development (R&D) not just essential, but critical for its evolution.

People&Technology, are fully committed to creating the essential machinery that brings inkjet research and development to life, supporting businesses operating within the inkjet sector. For researchers and engineers, the capability to test any brand or model of printhead, with any ink type, on any substrate is vital. They must replicate customer conditions flawlessly, adapt products accordingly, and guarantee exceptional after-sales service.

Initially, fulfilling all these requirements might appear overwhelming, stipulating a diverse range of equipment and machinery. However, it is exactly this very challenge that served as the inspiration for People&Technology: Their goal was to create a single, scalable machine that consolidates all these functionalities, allowing for progressive growth in line with evolving R&D demands.

We invite you to picture a solution that:

·       Supports any brand and model of industrial printheads, including annual updates for new market entries,

·       enables mixing different brands and models for simultaneous printing,

·       offers printing at any angle from 0º to 90º,

·       tests any ink type: UV, WB, solvent and functional fluids,

·       starts with one ink circuit, but is expandable to eight,

·       utilises gear pumps for both IN and OUT, ensuring precise ink system control,

·       maintains ink recirculation, even without internal head recirculation,

·       prints directly on any substrate, ranging from 1mm to 250mm in thickness,

·       allows sample printing on a conveyor belt or via roll to roll,

·       incorporates any pretreatment like plasma, corona or antistatic,

·       offers post-treatment options such as UV LED pinning and curing lamps, NIR lamps and mercury lamps,

·       achieves printing speeds up to 100 m/min,

·       directly connects to a dropwatcher, AND

·       features ultra-evolved software for meticulous management of ink and images.

Yet, despite all the above, People&Technology understand that creativity knows no bounds and they are certain there will be additional requirements. Their INKTESTER PRO is designed to evolve continuously, embracing new functionalities to meet evolving needs.

At DRUPA 2024, People&Technology will be demonstrating their technology in action, working in real time, with different heads printing on different substrates.

You are invited to explore the limitless possibilities of inkjet technology with People&Technology in hall 5 booth C30.
