Graham Kennedy, Director Industrial Print Solutions, Ricoh Europe explains, “Packaging is without a doubt a key market focus for our business and for inkjet technology in general. This dynamic sector looks set to benefit from the fact that as a technology, inkjet has several key characteristics and benefits to give whether for flexible, corrugated or direct to shape packaging printing. The potential for packaging is immense, particularly when you consider the fact that flexibility of production is becoming a fundamental necessity for retailers, FMCG brands and therefore converters. As a result, the sector in general needs to respond more quickly to produce cost-effective shorter-runs that align with this fast-changing market. Packaging remains a strong growth sector, but change is happening fast and inkjet enables production performance which has become essential in my view. This survey, I am sure, will shed further light on the potential for future development for inkjet in packaging.”

The results for the FuturePrint & Pack Survey will be available in September 2021, all respondents who complete the survey will automatically gain a complimentary copy of the results.
