Dorinda Gibbons of Profile Recruitment gives us her view of the Virtual Summit.

Dorinda hosted the session on the Future Generation for Print

We caught up with Dorinda from Profile Recruitment Ltd to hear her thoughts on the recent Future Print Virtual Summit. You can read what she has to say.

“This time last year I was in America, then Germany networking at Printing United and IJC, the world is a very different place now and I feel Frazer and Marcus have done a great job pulling together people from all over the world, providing excellent, insightful content across a multitude of markets and keeping the industry informed and connected.”

“I really enjoyed being involved and doing a presentation on the next generation looking at bringing new talent into the industry and had a inspiring panel, it is not too late to watch so please click on the panel link under Profile recruitment to watch.

Like many of us I have watched some excellent presentations and still have some more to look forward to, but in summary the ones that stood out to me were John Mills at Xaar it is really great to see a company that have undertaken significant change re branding, investing and moving forward with new technology. Xaar is a technology leader and we hope 2021 will be a great year for Xaar.

I also really enjoyed listening to the presentations provided by Landa and how they really collaborate and work with their customers as an integral part of their solution. This is exactly how we like to work with our clients. In full partnership making sure that the needs are delivered and the customer is happy. Operating remoting can certainly present challenges when installing and fixing machinery and communication is key, coupled with finding new methods of working.

On this note companies can now reach a larger talent pool if their employees don’t need to be in the office full time and we are here to support clients to find the best solution for their business moving forward. We need to be agile, ever changing and open to change.

Mark Bale hosted the session on Collaboration

My favourite presentation was hosted by Mark Bale at DodxAct about The Importance of Collaboration for Industrial Inkjet, this touched on how important it is for companies to collaborate with one another, it talked about trust and relationships and people.

At the heart of success in any business and industry is the people, building relationships in order to succeed.

I feel now more than ever we should look to help as many people as we can succeed, utilising our connections, our core skills and strengths and complimenting one another with a shared goal.

Finally the lunchtime networking gave a welcome break to eating a sandwich alone and the missed opportunity of meeting new people, re connecting with existing colleagues across the market.

I look forward to the next Future print networking event and continuing to learn, develop, network and connect. Until then keep safe, keep networking and lets keep moving forward!”
