Unlocking the Power of Digital Print: FuturePrint hosts Workshop at IM Engineering East Conference in New York City
On June 13th, 2023, Frazer Chesterman, Co-Director of FuturePrint, will be hosting a Digital Print in Manufacturing workshop during the IM Engineering East Conference in New York. The conference is a renowned event for professionals in the engineering industry, where experts, thought leaders, and innovators will come together to discuss the latest trends and technologies shaping the industry.
Melissa Magestro, VP and Group Portfolio Leader at Informa Markets expressed her delight in welcoming FuturePrint to the US show, having worked with the FuturePrint team in the past. She is expecting a focused group of packaging design engineers from the food and beverage, medical, and health & beauty markets, as well as equipment OEMs and packaging material suppliers. Melissa believes this will be the perfect audience for FuturePrint’s Digital Print in Manufacturing event.
The workshop will take place at the Pack Place Theatre, starting at 1:15pm. Attendees will be able to join Frazer and his team of European and US print specialists, who will provide insights into the incredible opportunities offered by digital print technologies. The workshop will consist of a series of presentations followed by a Q&A session.
Guy Newcombe, CEO of Archipelago, will be kicking off the workshop and will talk about how their Powerdrop technology is being used to replace plastic with paper within the packaging sector. Guy believes that sustainable packaging solutions are becoming increasingly important for big brands as consumers become more eco-conscious. Archipelago’s Powerdrop technology can be used to coat paper with the functionality it needs to replace plastic while keeping it recyclable and sustainable.
The workshop will also feature presentations from companies such as Siegwerk, Hybrid Software Group, CGS Oris, Engineered Printing Solutions (EPS), Agfa/Inca, and Bergstein.
The Bergstein Group’s single-pass inkjet printing technology, for example, is a game-changer for curved surface printing and Peter Bergstein will be discussing how to unlock new possibilities for precision, print quality and speed in the world of pharma & medical applications.
Frazer Chesterman highlighted that the sessions throughout the workshop will cover topics such as innovations in packaging materials and design, luxury packaging, and pharma & medical applications. There will be ample opportunities to network with other professionals in the industry, share ideas and insights, and learn about the latest technologies and best practices.
The Pack Place Theatre is situated at the Jacob Javits Convention Centre in New York City, which is home to some of the world's leading packaging companies and research institutions.
