Summit Partner Spotlight: Hymmen

The second FuturePrint Virtual Summit will be taking place from October 12th to October 16th, and will be welcoming back Hymmen, an inkjet manufacturer most well-known for decorative surface and flooring technology. Hymmen is a FuturePrint Virtual Summit Content Partner, and we caught up with Dr. Anke Pankoke, Head of Marketing, Hymmen, ahead of the upcoming event.

“We are happy to be participating in the second FuturePrint Virtual Summit,” says Anke Pankoke. “Hymmen has a lot of news and updates on latest developments in digital printing to share with attendees. Our experiences so far with virtual events and webinars have proved that it’s a great way to stay in touch with the inkjet community, especially with travel now being complicated as a result of the pandemic.”

Talking of latest developments, Hymmen will be utilising their platform as a FuturePrint Virtual Summit partner to share information of its SATURN Digital Printing Line, an innovative solution for the decentralised printing of décor paper. FuturePrint previously wrote about the SATURN project and Hymmen’s development partnership with Ricoh in order to bring the model to market. “We have put the first line into operation and can tell the FuturePrint Virtual Summit audience all about the experience and its outstanding results,” Pankoke adds.

Like most businesses, the key vertical markets that Hymmen serves have experienced significant disruption as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it looks like things are returning to normality for the business. Pankoke says: “We noticed a strong slowdown of all business activities during the Spring and the Summer, but now all activities gain speed again and we were very happy to finalise some project negotiations in the last weeks.”

One way Hymmen is adapting to the myriad of changes is its use of virtual channels to stay connected with colleagues and customers, but as we cautiously and safely begin to hold physical meetups again, the business is looking forward to the return of face-to-face engagement. Pankoke concludes: “Now that sustainable strategies of protecting our customers and ourselves against infection (hygiene rules like distance keeping, face coverings, and hand disinfection) are established, we are also happy to welcome back customers in Bielefeld and in our technology Centre for product tests and more once again.”
