Jetmaster Printers Print Textured Decorative Patterns at High Speeds

The Spanish company BARBERÁN, based in Castelldefels (Barcelona) and founded in 1929, is dedicated to design and manufacture machinery for decorating panels and profiles for the construction sector.

Apart from the sectors of panel lacquering and lamination and profile wrapping, the brand designs and manufactures digital printers under the name of "Jetmaster Series" with great success worldwide.

Using technology and processes patented by BARBERÁN, Jetmaster printers manage to print decorative designs on different types of substrates with a very high resolution and at high speeds.

Following market trends, the company's Marketing department detected a greater interest from customers in the production of decorative panels made of different materials, such as aluminum or thermoplastics, with a haptic finish (texture). The same was also required by the synthetic flooring industry in order to be more competitive within its sector. The R+D+i engineers, together with SII Printek, worked hard to achieve this by using a second online digital printer, which would apply the texture after printing the design.

Thanks to a close collaboration with product manufacturers and graphic designers, it was possible to create a process patented by Barberán, where two types of texture could be generated; the positive one, which protrudes from the surface, and the negative one, which is like an embossing on the piece.

The technology used in the SEIKO 508GS and RC1536 print heads by its engineers has also greatly contributed to finding the perfect solution, since the product to apply in order to generate this texture had to be fully compatible with them.

Likewise, spots can also be created by applying, for example, high gloss products to certain parts of the printed design. The results that are achieved are truly surprising, also taking into account the speed at which the pieces are finished.

Barberán surprises once again by providing the best solutions to the different industrial sectors, thus consolidating itself as a world leader in the areas that concern it.
