Day One at FuturePrint TECH 2023

We are reaching the end of the first day of FuturePrint TECH 2023 in Cambridge

Excitement levels are high amongst attendees and while the focus remains on inkjet for industrial printing, this year's conference has taken an intriguing turn with a significant emphasis on Artificial Intelligence.

There have been several talks from industry leaders who are starting to integrate AI in the industrial inkjet print sector. Fred Lill from Lil Packaging delivered an insightful presentation on embracing AI for developing innovative packaging ideas. Royce Dodds from Dekor8 intrigued the audience with his talk on exploiting AI for decor printing, revealing the immense potential of AI in enhancing creativity and efficiency. Additionally, Karl Ciz's discussion on the intersection of data and AI in the print industry provided a wide-ranging view of the transformative impact AI is having across the sector.

A standout feature of the day was the engaging panel discussion led by Spanish experts (see below), focusing on why the Castellón area in Spain has emerged as a hub for inkjet technology. The panellists highlighted Castellón's commitment to technological advancement and its role in championing some of the most cutting-edge developments in the field of inkjet printing. We will be sharing more on this later.
