FuturePrint and Pack Summit Speaker Spotlight: Marabu

FuturePrint’s first hybrid event, the FuturePrint and Pack Summit, is taking place on November 11th at The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge, followed by weekly virtual content output. Tobias Lang, Product Manager, Marabu, will be presenting at the event on Marabu’s approach to sustainability and personalisation.

Tobias will demonstrate how the new printed embossing technology offers a great opportunity for new design options and fulfils the demand on personalization compared to conventional embossing designs, allowing for the finest contours to be brought to life. In combination with the standard Ultra Jet DUV-C, designers are able to combine visual and haptic decoration. Printing layer after layer increases the depth effect possibilities, giving designers a totally new decoration opportunity.

Continuing on from themes discussed at previous FuturePrint events, Marabu will highlight the personalisation trend and the capacity to produce ‘batch of one’, and how it opens up the doors for new and growing markets such as craft breweries and boutique wineries. Far from personalised labels being the only opportunity, companies are interested in generating individualised glass containers that set them apart from the competition (Read the full article on Marabu/Koenig and Bauer Kammann’s digital printing on glass collaboration here).
