The live event takes place at The Bradfield Centre in Cambridge’s Science Park, the UK which is located in easy reach of London and the Midlands and just 20 mins from London Stansted airport for international delegates.

This new event aligns with the changing demand for live events, enabling people to learn and make new connections in person. This live and virtual ‘hybrid’ event marks the first of its kind for the print and packaging sector.

The Digitalisation of Packaging

The packaging sector is a key market for printing technology, and in line with the results from 3 key surveys conducted by FM Future in partnership with Ricoh, this vertical sector has one of the greatest needs for this type of event. COVID has accelerated the demand for the digitalisation of packaging, and inkjet in particular is perfectly positioned for a key role in enabling this change.

FuturePrint ran events throughout the pandemic since June 2020 featuring content from thought leaders from inside and outside of the industry as well as the latest tech for printers around the world and across the print spectrum. From June 2020 to June 2021, the five online events attracted nearly 10,000 delegates from over 85 countries.

New Format Reflects Changing Demand

Frazer Chesterman, co-founder, FM Future, comments: “The change to a hybrid format is in recognition of a need to both connect with people in a live environment and a continued need for global access to great quality content for the FuturePrint community. The feedback that we have had from the Tech Fest for our live studio sessions was tremendous, underlining that improved production and delivery has increased in its importance in the past 12 months. We will deliver both live and digitally with this event and will share the best content online in smaller segments weekly. We are excited to be blending what we have learned with digital events over the past 12 months with the 20 plus years of experience of running live events.”

Problem Solving Content

Marcus Timson, co-founder, FM Future, adds: “FuturePrint is a community dedicated to the advancement of print technology, and it is with this in mind that we can see that packaging represents a huge opportunity for inkjet and other innovative technology to help solve the problems of tomorrow, today. The content will feature insight from brand owners and converters as well as updates and innovations from some of the world’s leaders in print technology. The fact is, the barriers to change have begun to be dismantled due to COVID and this event will address the challenges of right now, the trends impacting the sector and how innovative print technology can help in the future. We are excited to be running this event which features content in Cambridge for those able and willing to attend, plus content created from across the world and streamed to our growing global community after the event.”
