Building an Effective Team in the Pursuit of Growth, with Elizabeth Bentley, Integration Technology

Frazer and Elizabeth chat about changes within the business, visions for Integration Technology’s future, and the need for the digital print industry to become more inclusive and diverse.

Internal Changes in the Business 

Integral Technology is part of the IST family, and has been partnered with IST for 11 years, and have prioritise teams working closely together in that time, with the sales and engineering teams collaborating to develop products that deliver customer success. 

The business provides LED components as well as complete systems, a strategy that has been very successful in the digital inkjet market. For industrial printing, a complete solution is vital.

The Future Vision for Integration Technology 

Looking towards the future, Lizzie explains that Integration Technology is committed to further developing its portfolio, and is focused on ensuring they have the best UV solution.

It’s an exciting time for Integration Technology; Managing Director Simon Roberts is focused on growing the business. With the introduction of new, high-profile personnel, as well as new and effective methods, Integration Technology is expanding as a company. 

Making Waves in the Inkjet Market 

There is a huge opportunity in the market. Integration Technology’s core market is digital inkjet printing, and its presence is still growing. In the pursuit of branching out geographically and to capitalise on digital print’s global growth, Lizzie discusses Integral Technology’s expansion in the U.S. 

In the current climate, there are major global challenges due to supply chain issues, the fuel crisis, and inflation, but the American market appears to be more resilient currently than Europe.

Women in the Print Industry 

While the print industry remains male-dominated, diversity within the print industry is definitely on the rise. Bentley notes that an inclusive digital print industry is a necessity, not just for women but for every underrepresented group. 

It’s also important that the industry is open to different types of thinkers. While many digital print media professionals are analytic, often coming from a science and engineering background, there is a need for right-brained thinkers too, who bring a different perspective to the industry. 

A background in engineering isn’t a prerequisite for a thriving career in the industry. Lizzie makes it clear that at Integration Technology, people with a genuine passion for the industry and a true eagerness to learn can learn the basics of engineering and maximise their existing skills to grow and succeed within the business.
