Richard Darling

Richard Darling, Ricoh Europe

With decades of experience in digital print with Xerox and Xaar, Richard joined Ricoh in 2017.

At the start of his career, Richard worked for a small brand called Colorgrafx which was a Xerox inkjet wide-format brand approximately 20 years ago. During this time, he focused on management, marketing, law, manufacturing materials and design. More recently, he spent 6.5 years at Xaar and was responsible for the development of sales and engineering function in the U.S, Latin America and Europe and oversaw the development all of the industrial applications. He was involved in the broad range of applications that Xaar pioneered which provided him with an excellent grounding in industrial printing from ceramics, to DTS to security cards, ID cards and 3D printers.

He manages a whole range of inkjet initiatives with customers plus some of Ricoh’s equipment development projects. Richard has contributed to some game-changing innovations across several sectors. Dedicated to inkjet developments, he questions the way things have traditionally been done, tearing down barriers to introducing inkjet wherever it gives a benefit.
