In part one of this two-part series, we are joined by Axel Bohlmeier of Koenig & Bauer Kammann to talk about glass print technology prior to the key events taking place this autumn.

We hear from Axel about their innovative print business, and their range of technology for printing on glass - cylindrical glass-manufactured objects, as well as metal, plastic and other amazing applications.

Kammann builds specialist machines for very specific printing processes such as screen printing, digital printing, and hot stamping which can be used to decorate curved surfaces. The machines offer a unique platform for industrial decoration. They require a certain handling system to make it possible to decorate in an automated pattern to reach the quality, speed, and repeatability necessary in today’s world, at a price that the end consumer is willing to pay.

Axel suggests that screen printing is one of the most cost-efficient in today’s market, with digital printing being offering the most versatile solution. Let us know what you think, do you agree or disagree?
