Sun Chemical's Roaring Entry with Xennia Jade DTF at FESPA 2024 in Amsterdam

Direct to Film (DTF) printing is rapidly becoming a popular technology in the textile and garment industry, due to its versatility, efficiency, and the high-quality results it delivers. The appeal of DTF printing also lies in its ability to print vibrant and detailed designs on a wide selection of fabrics without the need for pre-treatment, which is often required by traditional methods like direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. This simplifies the production process and means printers can produce intricate designs on t-shirts or delicate patterns on fabrics that were previously challenging to print on. The durability of DTF prints, maintaining their colour strength and quality through repeated washing and wearing, also adds to the technology's popularity. DTF is cost-effective and scalable and offers a lower entry barrier for small to medium-sized companies looking to diversify or scale their operations.

During our visit to FESPA, we had the opportunity to chat briefly with Simon Daplyn, Marketing Manager at Sun Chemical, about their newly launched DTF ink, Xennia Jade DTF. It appears that Sun Chemical has recognised the need for dependable product performance and has invested significant time and resources in developing a solution tailored specifically to the unique needs of this market.

Simon described their Xennia Jade white as a testament to Sun Chemical’s commitment to improving both the print quality and the user experience. He mentioned that the white's high-opacity formulation reduces maintenance needs and, when used with the vibrant Sun Chemical CMYK set, it can offer incredible application performance across a variety of coloured substrates, including challenging dark fabrics.

The DTF printing sector it seems, is experiencing robust growth, and Sun Chemical is helping to present businesses with the opportunity to thrive in the highly competitive textile market.
