Reducing Lead Times and Eliminating Backlogs with Highcon

With dozens of digital finishing machines installed at converters and printer sites around the world, Highcon’s digital cutting and creasing solutions are reducing supply chain lead times and eliminating backlogs, to help meet increasing customer demand for new products and packaging. This is what Highcon customers are saying about speed to market.

Charles Linney, Executive Director, Linney says the Highcon has taken hours out of its supply chain. Linney Group has transformed its die-cutting operations after installing the UK’s first Highcon Beam 2 digital cutting and creasing system. The Beam 2 runs at up to 5,000 sheets/hour in B1 format, and can handle materials from 200-900micron in thickness. It has been installed at the group’s new 9,300sqm warehouse facility at its 35-acre Mansfield supersite, where part of the new space has become a center of excellence for mounting, die-cutting, laser-cutting and assembly, with a creative team also located at the site. But check out this insightful fireside chat with Charles Linney and Simon Lewis.

Richard Brown, President and Co-Owner, The BoxMaker, a US-based specialist in digitally produced packaging, and their web-to-print brand Fantastapack.com says the Highcon has eliminated backlogs, improved production capacity, quality, and speed of delivery. The BoxMaker has purchased 2 Highcon Euclid 5C digital converting solutions for its Washington and Arkansas sites to support its growing corrugated business. The Highcon Euclid 5C digital cutting and creasing machine has been specifically engineered to suit the needs of packaging converters working with corrugated and fluted substrates, from 1-mm/40-120pt. The following fireside discussion with Richard Brown and Simon Lewis explains more.
