FuturePrint TECH: Digital Print for Manufacturing a Big Success….
The first FuturePrint TECH: Digital Print for Manufacturing Conference took place on 9-10 November at the Moeller Institute in Cambridge. The event was roundly applauded as both an inspiring and insightful event packed with fascinating content, visionary speakers, incredible technology and superb networking.
140 people came to Cambridge from across the UK and mainland Europe including delegates from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Italy.
The content tackled the most exciting and diverse of all the print segments, digital print for manufacturing. Content featured some impressive stories of work being done with digital technology in challenging new markets including industrial coatings, DNA storage, agriculture, direct-to-shape, flexible packaging, labels, corrugated, printed electronics, decor flooring, textiles, decor wall coverings, ceramics, additive and other industrial applications where digital print technology is playing a growing role in manufacturing production.
In addition to the array of technology leaders sharing insight into developments in technology from inks, software, and drive electronics, to the latest machines and inkjet heads, the event benefited from insight from market leaders such as Jo Stephenson from PHD Marketing, and independent industry expert Sean Smyth plus talks from John Patsavallas from Cranfield University, Chris Corkan from MakeUK and David Brackett from The Manufacturing Technology Centre.
