Hello and welcome back to the FuturePrint Podcast, we hope you had a restful holiday break. We are back in the new year with a great episode.

It is always a good chat with Simon Daplyn! He has a great depth of technical knowledge and an impressive breadth of market experience with inkjet in a variety of sectors including, textiles, ceramics, wide format and now packaging. Simon is also rare in that he is equally qualified as a marketer as well as a technical leader so can provide and create some great content that is both inspiring and technically astute. In this chat, we draw on the themes of his talk at FuturePrint TECH in Cambridge which was entitled: Exploring the Manufacturing Challenges for Direct Food Contact Inks. It is a really interesting new area for inkjet and this podcast is well worth a listen.

Dr. Simon Daplyn is the Product and Marketing Manager for Sun Chemical.   Having studied and worked in digital print for over 20 years, Simon has held roles in product development, commercialization, sales and marketing of a wide range of digital inks with a focus on aqueous technologies. Simon joined Sun Chemical in 2020 and is responsible for product management and marketing within the digital inks division, helping to define the product strategy for Sun Chemical in digital print markets to support the adoption of inkjet technology and sustainable technology developments.
